The first one I produced was for my partner in crime/band mate/co-owner of this site Clara Hunter Latham. The piece is called “Go Inside” and it’s an amazing film shot entirely on a security camera in Clara’s old Oberlin apartment. I used a toy keytar as my instrument of choice and a little bit of footstepping foley.

Ry Russo-Young, director of recently the recently Sundance-debuted “You Won’t Miss Me”, kindly offered me this short called “Happy Thanksgiving Mommy.” I interpreted the mood of the film as a whole as being a bit nostalgic and dark simulaneously and wanted to match that in the sound. So I composed an intimate, almost inside-the-piano simple structure that was both mournful and optimistic (at least, that’s what i was going for).

This next film was appropriated from an open source website and was created by a group of Evergreen College students in an animation class. I chose it because of it’s narrative qualities as I thought it would give me a good chance to create a more traditional film score. Obvious Elfman likeness, but I wasn’t aiming for that, it just kind of happened. I guess that’s what happens when one persons influence is so imbued in the collective unconcious (forgive my misuse of this jungian catch phrase, i do what i want).

I posted a little bit about this project yesterday. This is the film by Italian artists Luigi and Luca called “Luigi and Luca are Stuck.” Don’t watch it if you are offended by gay sex. Actually, don’t even stay on this site if you are offended by gay sex. Further more, grow some balls and get unoffended by gay sex and maybe even have some one day. You might change your mind. I mean, it didn’t work for me with straight sex, but whatever, at least I tried it.
